Application for Electric Service and Membership

New Construction - In need of electric facilities / On an existing account in need of an service extension

New Construction needing electric service and facilities:

The Cooperative works with its member-consumers to place facilities at locations which are agreeable to both parties.

Residential, business, and agricultural facilities each have specific extension requirements. Contact ECI REC for more information. General information on new service extensions is outlined below.

If a member-consumer asks that the equipment be moved at any time in the future, the Cooperative will ask the member-consumer to pay the cost of the relocation.

Existing electric service/facilities in need of a service/facility extension due to new structure:

ECI REC will finance and make the extension without Contribution In Aid of Construction (CIAC), if the estimated construction costs are less than or equal to $1,000 for a single-phase facility or $2,500 for a poly-phase facility.

If the estimated construction costs are greater than ECI REC’s construction allowance listed above, the member will contract with the Cooperative and deposit a CIAC for construction equal to the estimated construction cost less the applicable cooperative construction allowance, no less than 30 days prior to commencement of construction.

The member-consumer will be responsible after initial installation by ECI REC for labor and material to back-fill any trench or excavation due to setting.

  • Google Maps is very similar to MapQuest and does not require you to download anything to your device

  • Google Earth is a program app that is FREE and SAFE that you can download to your desktop or mobile device. (Requires a little more computer power than Google Maps.)
