East-Central Iowa REC maintains the procedures, policies, fees, and charges within the Cooperative’s tariff. A copy of the tariff is available below or by request from East-Central Iowa REC and is on file with the Iowa Utilities Commission.
Rates
East-Central Iowa REC is committed to providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective electric service to our members. The Cooperative has three primary rage groups: residential, agricultural, and commercial, along with the monthly facility and demand charges as applicable.
The following rates are available by class:
Residential
- Heat Plus Rate (Section 17.5.7 in Tariff)
- Time-of-Day Service (Section 17.5.8 in Tariff)
- Urban Electric Residential Service (Section 17.5.1 in Tariff)
- Urban Residential Time-of-Day (Section 17.5.2 in Tariff)

Agricultural/Commercial
- Large Power Service – 75 kilowatts or greater (Section 17.5.6 in Tariff)
- Large Power Time-of-Day Service (Section 17.5.9 in Tariff)
- Small General Service – less than 75 kilowatts (Section 17.5.4 in Tariff)
- Small General Service Time-of-Day (Section 17.5.5 in Tariff)
