The 30th Annual Meeting of the Members of East-Central Iowa REC was held virtually via Zoom on June 25! Members can view the recording of the meeting by clicking this link.
One primary piece of the Annual Meeting is the Board election. Re-elected to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors were Brian McNulty (District 3), Gary McKenna (District 4), and Julie Kester (District 2). Members voted by mail-in ballot or online through our website and SmartHub.
Following the business meeting, a Board reorganization meeting was held. All officers were retained by those who held positions last year. Re-elected were Steve Rau, president; Jeff Elliott, vice president; Julie Kester, secretary/treasurer; and Pete Burmeister assistant secretary/treasurer.
This year’s theme was “Building on the Past to Grow the Future,” which reflects our deep roots in community, commitment, and progress. For decades, the dedication of our founding members and the strength of cooperative values have powered our success. Today, we honor that legacy while embracing innovation, enhancing reliability through advanced technology, and investing in member service. By building on the solid foundation of the past, we are shaping a smarter, stronger energy future for the communities we proudly serve.
