At June’s Board meeting, President Steve Rau recognized two retiring directors with 33 combined years of service. We thank Don and Ryan for their dedicated service to our Cooperative and wish them all the best in their next endeavors!

• Don Shonka joined the ECI REC Board of Directors in June 2006, and he will complete 18 years of service upon his retirement in June. He served as the Board’s assistant secretary/treasurer for five years (2009‒2014). Don was also a member of the IAEC Board (2013‒2021), serving as vice president from 2016 to 2021. 
• Ryan Kress joined the ECI REC Board of Directors in June 2009 and will complete 15 years of service upon his retirement in June. He served as assistant secretary/treasurer for three years (2014‒2017) and secretary/treasurer for seven years (2017‒2024).

Also recognized at June’s meeting was Director Julie Kester. President Rau presented Director Kester with her five-year pin and thanked her for five years of dedicated service to the Cooperative.
