Contributing to RECare—a program that distributes funds via community action agencies to low-income energy consumers within Benton and Buchanan County—is one easy way to help others. The funds donated by ECI REC members help pay heating bills or weatherization costs for their fellow members.

ECI REC would like to thank all the members who are giving to others in our communities. Even a small amount can help those less fortunate. From July 2017 to June 2018, 67 members contributed to RECare through monthly contributions. Six members contributed via one-time donations. In total, members contributed $5,173, which was a decrease of $92 from last period. Those donations assisted 13 members in need, with an average assistance of $562.77 going to each family.
