The 2019 Annual Meeting of the Members of East-Central Iowa REC is just around the corner! This year, we’re excited to welcome Central Iowa Power Cooperative’s CEO and Executive Vice President Bill Cherrier. Cherrier will present on CIPCO’s plans for Iowa’s largest solar project.
Our 2018 Youth Tour representatives, Brock Ortner and Sarah Collison, will also be on hand to share their experiences from their trip to D.C. last June. Attendees will receive a registration gift and a catered noon meal and have a chance to win a $50.00 gift card.
And perhaps most importantly, the Annual Meeting is also the occasion to exercise one of the greatest benefits of being an electric cooperative member: voting for the upcoming year’s Board of Directors. Remember, ECI REC is not owned by faraway investors, and it is not run by an appointed Board of Directors. Your Cooperative is run by a democratically elected Board that is granted the privilege to serve because of your vote.
From all your friends at ECI REC, we hope to see you in June at the Annual Meeting!
