The 2018 Annual Meeting of the Members of East-Central Iowa REC is just around the corner!
This year, we’re excited to welcome a few unique “guests.” An electric car will be on site, courtesy of ECI REC’s power supplier, CIPCO. Members will have a chance to learn more about this efficient vehicle option.
ECI REC is also pleased to have Job Training/Safety Instructor Jim Wolfe of IAEC on hand to present on Iowa electric cooperatives’ collective hurricane relief efforts.
Attendees will receive a registration gift and a catered noon meal and also have a chance to win a $50.00 gift card.
And perhaps most importantly, the Annual Meeting is also the occasion to exercise one of the greatest benefits of being an electric cooperative member: voting for the upcoming year’s Board of Directors. This year, the Board is also proposing two amendments to the Articles of Incorporation.
Remember, ECI REC is not owned by faraway investors, and it is not run by an appointed Board of Directors. Your Cooperative is run by a democratically elected Board that is granted the privilege to serve because of your vote.
From all of your friends at ECI REC, we hope to see you in June at the Annual Meeting!
