If you inadvertently damage or notice that damage has occurred to the Cooperative's electric facilities, it is the member-consumer's responsibility to give prompt notice to ECI REC by calling 877-850-4343.
Follow these tips for safety:
-
Call Iowa One Call before you dig to prevent damage to your lines.
-
Keep people away from downed power lines; they could still be energized!
Who is responsible for repairs?
Damage to the Cooperative's equipment or any interruptions to electric service resulting from a problem in ECI REC lines up to the meter will be corrected as quickly as possible by the Cooperative's personnel and at our expense.
All wiring and equipment after point-of-delivery and on the load side of the meter, belongs to the member-consumer and maintenance is your responsibility. Member-consumers should call independent electricians to make any necessary repairs or improvements to their wiring.
