CEO Harry Ruth and Board President Steve Rau will speak, addressing topics such as the Cooperative’s electricity sales, the planned rate increase, and pending legislation that could impact your electric bills.
“You’ll also hear about some new online tools we’ve got in the works that should take some of the guesswork out of energy-efficiency upgrades,” said Lisa Franck, communications manager. “We’re also excited to have some special pieces planned that celebrate the 75th anniversary of Benton County Electric Cooperative.”
As always, the Cooperative is offering an attendance gift: a Chef Tongs barbeque set. There is a limit of one per membership. “Members who are present have the chance to win many prizes, including our grand prize of $100,” added Greg Pavelka, ECI REC marketing and economic development director.
In addition to a good meal and the possibility of prizes, ECI REC members will vote for three positions on the Cooperative’s Board of Directors. The positions are all in District 2, the Buchanan County area. No District 1, Benton County area, directors are up for election this year.
Districts concerned are Board District 21, where Don Shonka and Ernest Henderson are running; Board District 24, where Lloyd Bathen is running unopposed; and Board District 27 where Ryan Kress and Mike Fisher want to represent their fellow members.
