Be sure to attend the 16th Annual Meeting of the Members to vote for new Board directors and enter the running for great prizes. The meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16, at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
Vinton-Shellsburg High School is located at 210 West 21st Street on the south edge of Vinton, just east of the Highway 150 (C Ave.) and Highway 218 Intersection.
At this year's Meeting of the Members, ECl REC members will be voting to fill four positions on the Cooperative's Board of Directors. The positions up for election are District 26, in the Buchanan County area (northern territory), and from Districts 11, 12, and 15 in the Benton County area (southern territory).
Candidates are Jeff Elliott and Jeff Hutton in Board District 11; Chris Sackett and Deb Lohrer in District 12; Bill Frazier (unopposed) in District 15; and Steve Rau and Mark Stewart in District 26.
"Members who are present have the chance to win many prizes, including the grand prize of a CharBroil Patio Bistro electric grill," said Greg Pavelka, ECI marketing and economic development director. In addition, all attendees will receive an ECI REC umbrella (limit one per membership).
