Looking Out For You
What lawmakers decide in Washington, D.C., or Des Moines, can have a significant impact on your electric bill. ECI REC is spending an increasing amount of time communicating with our elected officials to make sure they know who we are, what we stand for, and how specific legislation or government regulations will affect our member-consumers.
As issues arise or if legislation is pending, we will post updates on the Current Concerns page of our Web site.
For critical issues, we often request that our member-consumers get involved. We may provide a postcard for you to sign, or suggest that you send your legislator an e-mail. We may even ask you to call your legislator.
We know you're busy, but the power of many voices is undeniable! ECI REC typically communicates these types of requests via bill inserts, special mailings, and the Heartland Link newsletter.
